Practice Management
The eDoc® eMHR system has been designed to accommodate and
support practices of all sizes, small to large, with an intuitive and easy to learn
medical health records and management software application.
At log-in, each user is enrolled into a biometrics system and given a role and facility-based
security clearance based on their job function. Busy schedules are managed quickly
and easily electronically. Create, modify or cancel appointments with one click
of the mouse. Manage patient demographics effectively as well as identify chronic
no-shows fast. Customers have the option to define recurring schedules and block
hours for large, multi-location practices. Physician’s personal scheduler can be
customized and integrated into the practice schedule to accommodate their varied
and busy work schedule. Scheduling features allow staff to manage exceptions and
select a 5-day or 7-day calendar view.
eDoc® eMHR provides features to look up and manage patient
accounts. Customers can define mandatory patient fields, look up a patient with
multiple providers, and check eligibility for services quickly and accurately. When
the patient visits are complete, summaries are quickly printed.
Features Include:
- Hospital/Physician - eDoc® eMHR interfaces via universally
accepted PDF with most major hospital networks including Cerner, Siemens, IDX, Epic,
McKesson and Meditech so that patient information can be streamlined between in-patient
and out-patient.
- Physician-to-Physician Communication - With patient consent, records can be shared
between treating physicians to ensure greater accuracy and more complete patient
information. This can be accomplished through store and forward or live video conferencing
protocols, both internal and external to the practice.
- eReferrals - Referrals can be sent via the EHR, eliminating extra paperwork
- Personal Health Record (PHR) - Patients can modify personal information, view lab
results, request medication refills and other patient/provider correspondence, allowing
patients to have a more active role in their care, while reducing the number of
phone calls to the office. (See My eMHR below)
- Continuity of Care Record (CCR) - eDoc®
eMHR uses CCR to
integrate Patient Portal and the EHR, demonstrating the company’s commitment to
standards.
- Registry Reporting
Communications
The eDoc® eMHR includes a host of communication capabilities
not before seen in EHR systems. Starting with the patient - patients have access
to a vertically designed and integrated Personal Health Record system via a browser
based system called My eMHR. Patients can generate a complete
and comprehensive medical health record to include:
- Patient Demographic Information
- Insurance Information
- Emergency Information
- Histories of Procedural Test Performed
- History of Diagnosed Illness/Condition Summary
- Surgical History – Activities/Exercise
- Social History
- Allergies – Air Borne, Drug and Other
- Family History
- Patient Directives
- Rx Medications Listing
- Immunizations History
- Screening Test History
- Master Problems List – using ICD-9 Coding
Patients can also upload any other medical data or images to include lab reports,
X-rays, CT Scans, ECG Reports, and Dental Records etc. and place them into a comprehensive
filling system which mirrors the one used by all ICUcare software applications.
The eDoc® Physicians Web Portal
is a centrally implemented Telemedicine solution that allows full web-browser based
telemedicine interaction. The solution packs ability to support both multiple specialists
and patient nodes. The server stores the data centrally and is accessible to any
registered TPN Program Network user. Registration is Free!
The eDoc® Physicians Web Portal
has been designed to be a physicians best friend. It provides physicians the ability
of freedom to work where ever they choose. An internet connection is all that is
required to enable physicians to work as effectively out of the office as they work
at the office. The Physicians Web Portal features a rich compliment of resources
that empower the busy physicians to work smarter rather than harder.
Security of the system and network is assured through encryption of all data transferred,
removal of personal identifiable data from files and redundant storage of all data
within the network at a high security data center located at a major Midwestern
city and supported by one of the largest fiber-optic network systems in the country.
The eDoc® eMHR raises the bar for interoperability for practice-to-practice,
provider-to-provider and peer-to-peer communications not only to other
eDoc®
eMHR users, but any provider/practice that the provider and practice
interacts with for patient care.
Records are now shared electronically, so practices do not have to fax communications,
including referrals and patient charts, to other providers; practices will also
be able to schedule appointments and communicate generic messages regarding patient
care. The eDoc® eMHR is an interoperable, scalable and secure way
to communicate while enhancing patient care.
Checking schedules
- Reviewing Telephone and Web messages;
- E-prescribing;
- Looking up patient medical records;
- Examining lab results; and
- Charge capture at the point of service.
eDoc® Messenger is a messaging
service that utilizes an SMS Gateway Protocol by way of the users TSP to enable
physician practices to electronically send messages to patients My
eMHR Patient Portal for
aspects of care including appointment reminders, lab results, diagnostic imaging
and statements.
eDoc® Messenger is embedded
in eDoc® eMHR as opposed to being a stand-alone product,
so patients can respond to the message and have their response change the status
in the EHR. For example, if a customer confirms the appointment through the message,
the schedule in the EHR will reflect that the appointment has been confirmed.
Telemedicine Capabilities
The eDoc® eMHR Desktop Application includes all the design
features needed by a telemedicine system such as data acquisition and insertion,
EMR building, user discovery and connectivity, diagnostics capabilities, send and
receiving offline data and real time video/audio telemedicine session capability.
